This part prescribes the policies and procedures relating to administrative aspects of contract execution including reporting and records retention requirements. Section 4.705 through subsection 4.705-3 list some of the records contractors must retain and the applicable retention periods. You should be hearing from some of the ARMA members in the aerospace industry. There are some very active programs out there.
