Hi Kim, The grant and RFP are separate and distinct, but some of the information used to put together the grant application would also be useful in putting together an RFP. With regards to the RFP itself, I suspect you will hear back from some folks who can provide a generic one as a jumping off point. I don't have one I can share, but I can point you at a resource for RFP development: Bud Porter-Roth's books. He has written half a dozen books on the RFP process and is a frequent contributor to AIIM EDOC Magazine (http://www.edocmagazine.com) on issues associated with developing an RFP that vendors will respond to. Another consideration may be to work with a consultant. Full disclosure: I am an evil consultant. :) But there are a number of consultants available that can assist you in conducting a needs analysis and requirements definition to assist in the development of the RFP (and the grant, for that matter). You can go to the PARIS website at http://nj.gov/state/darm/links/paris-vendor.html to see a list of all of the consultants on the State of New Jersey website. Hope this helps - please feel free to contact me directly if I can provide any assistance.
