We need a Mayoral Directive and Boston City Council Order
for the more routine transmittal of current city documents
to our Boston Public Library Government Documents Department

City Departmental Annual Reports are required by City Ordinance
to be reported to our Boston City Council
directly. Department Heads have been getting around the
City Ordinance about Annual Reports by sending each
Departmental Annual Report to the Mayor's Office as a
Memorandum. Public Records Requests and Public Records
Appeals are needed to get the release of the Department
Heads' Annual Report Memoranda to the Mayor's Office.
Otherwise the delay is lengthy before the City Council
receives the Annual Report.
