In Parts I and II of this series, we provided an overview of the current
e-discovery landscape, an introduction to information governance (IG)
principles, and an analysis of how core IG components foster better
e-discovery practices. In Part III, we explore practical approaches to
establishing an information governance framework, including an overview of
three IG projects that benefit e-discovery.

 An organization does not have to figure out IG all at once. It is often
possible—and preferable— to start slowly and build concrete IG success
incrementally. This can be accomplished by identifying the facets of an
organization that will best support IG, building strategic alliances, and
undertaking initial “quick-win” projects that demonstrate identifiable
return on investment.
