This has been posted to the Forum but we seem to get more member interest
action from the listserv. So I'll give it a try.
**************

The recent past years of ARMA have ushered in a host of consulting reports,
each aimed at reporting what is wrong with our profession and what corrective
action is needed. This one is no different except for a major concession
that chapters are an important part of the organization and it uses marketing as
the driver . But rather than submit comments at this point, I am urging
members of ARMA to read the report and initiate an evaluation exchange (you will
find it at the governance section). Twenty-one interviews were completed.
Names only were given with no affiliations, although 15 are from HQ or the
Board. There are pros and cons to this report as there have been with each
previous one. It is a bit more upbeat than the Forrester, but not by much. Dust off
the strategic plan again! Read it and let's discuss.
