There was a movement within ARMA at the end of the last millenia, to broker COI type positions within the fortune 500. It is nice to see that there are more folks attaining these roles. That you are a true information manager in good. However my point it is the the ARMA movement was killed because folks in your positon were in the vast minority.

I am not sure if I am really all that concerned with maintaining the record integrity of non record material. I would want the process ti have integrity, maintain the chain of evidence but....

I would advocate a short life for non record material, dispose of in a controlled manner, document the process. have a mehod to mne the documents in the event that legal needs them. However, if I am the mechanic and repsonsible for the parts an dpieces in your car I really hav eno problem with you going to someone else for the fuzzy dice and what you do with them is your problem. Ahould the fuzzy dice cause an accident and be needed for evidence I will help the cops identify the fuzzy dice along with the brakes etc. The fuzzy dice may be evidence but...
