Other factors to consider:
Do your needs match the prevailing CRC business model, which represents
low cost large scale accessioning/storage, and high cost activity? Do
you have statistics available to determine the kind of activity you will
experience?
Is your volume growing, and do you expect it to continue to grow, or is
it going to start shrinking during the next decade? Are you storing long
term retention/archival records? How much volume do you destroy every
year, and what percentage of your total storage needs does that
represent? Also, how volatile/stable is your user base, and how much
filtering/correction to you have to do in the course of meeting those
needs on a daily basis? What kind of system do you have in place to
distribute records once requested?
