I was joking with Diana Banning, the City Archivist, about the fact that
these moves always seem to start in the dead of winter. We moved our own
facility, of similar size, about 5 years ago - starting in December!
Sure enough, 2 severe snow storms struck within the first week. Anybody
who has ever lived in Portland knows about the chaos even a little snow
can cause in this otherwise soggy realm. In a way, it was fortunate, as
the snow revealed some serious leaks in what was supposed to be a leak
free ceiling. Gave us a chance to repair the leaks before moving
forward.

I think it's a position title the press gives, not an official one.
Although, personally, I prefer "Records Potentate".....
