Chantel, I share your concerns regarding the use of such data as
proposed, particularly in general gaming/social interaction
environments. However, I can also see some real opportunities for this
proposed technology in secure treatment environments; for example, with
children recovering from serious disease; or in properly secured
"systems of care" or "caring communities" (to use public health
parlance). It may enhance the nurturing and mutual reinforcement that
one hopes occurs in such communities, particularly for those who are of
limited mobility.
