I would recommend the Fujitsu 7160.  While a bit more expensive than some of the alternatives, the scanner is virtually bulletproof.  In a past life, we had a million pages and more annually going through the machines without an issue.  Additionally, they are easy to clean and maintain.  Users can quickly change out the pads and roller and get back to work.

Looking for any recommendations for a Canon desktop scanner or MFP that is robust enough to handle scanning jobs from 5-100 pages (could go less) quickly and accurately while also having a smaller footprint given certain space constraints.
