Hi there,

I would like to know how other Universities are classifying emails as records (or non records) within their email systems.

Does your University make it mandatory for staff to classify emails for retention by having the classification procedure built directly into the email software? E.g. ALL email created or received is tagged by staff with classification metadata of some kind within the email system itself, or it must be 'dragged and dropped' into another ECM system where classification is applied.

Or, does your University require staff classify and retain emails by the use of folders, filters, and other manual procedures?

Any and all feedback would be appreciated!
