‘Division of cultural assets must involve all stakeholders’ - The Times of India HYDERABAD: With reports circulating that about 70 per cent of the 50 million documents, manuscripts and other records at the AP State Archives and Research Institute and Oriental Manuscript Library (OML) would be given to the residual state of Andhra Pradesh, NGOs such as Forum for Better Hyderabad and the local chapter of the Indian National Trust For Art and Cultural Heritage (Intach) have registered their protest. "No division of records should take place without putting the whole matter in the public domain. The residual state of AP will have right only over the record which was brought in after 1956. All other records should remain in Hyderabad," Veda Kumar of Forum for Better Hyderabad said. http://bit.ly/QWwevu Source: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/hyderabad/Division-of-cultural-assets-must-involve-all-stakeholders/articleshow/34345202.cms See if people are clicking on this link: http://bit.ly/QWwevu+ Try the bitly.com sidebar to see who is talking about a page on the web: http://bitly.com/pages/sidebar -- Peter Kurilecz CRM CA IGP [log in to unmask] Dallas, Texas Save our in-boxes! http://emailcharter.org http://twitter.com/RAINbyte http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/RAINbyte/ http://paper.li/RAINbyte/rainbyte http://pinterest.com/pakurilecz/archives/ http://pinterest.com/pakurilecz/records-management/ http://www.linkedin.com/in/peterakurilecz Information not relevant for my reply has been deleted to reduce the electronic footprint and to save the sanity of digest subscribers List archives at http://lists.ufl.edu/archives/recmgmt-l.html Contact [log in to unmask] for assistance To unsubscribe from this list, click the below link.
