Dear All, I think involving the AIEF has merit too.  Not that the ARMA International Education Foundation should create or manage such a journal, but that it could fund the creation and management of such a journal, whether one already in existence that would be willing to broaden its scope or a new one managed out of a consortium of academic institutions that teach and conduct research in the field of records management.  

The problem of access to such journals has been noted - a single authoritative journal on RM supported by AIEF could simplify access and, moreover, be made available to ARMA members (no more barriers if you don't have access to Emerald/Insight or paying $10 per article).  In that regard, the other idea that occurs to me is that ARMA could negotiate / broker a subscription service to the main existing journals so that more of the profession could access this body of literature.
