Peter Kurilecz said "I would imagine that the Foundation is funding research projects from interested earned and not from capital."

In at least some cases, ARMA Chapters or individuals subsidise research.

For example, the Metro NYC Chapter paid for Ginny Jones' research "USA Federal Requirements for Personal Information Protection". Disclosure: I am a member of that Chapter.

Other examples include:
*LEGAL HOLDS FOR "ANTICIPATED LITIGATION": New Case Developments to Determine Triggering Events & Scope of Production-A Study by John J. Isaza, Esq. Funded by contributions from the Los Angeles and Orange County Chapters of ARMA International to The ARMA International Educational Foundation.

*Freedom of Information: History, Experience and Records and Information Management Implications in the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom-A Study by the Constitution Unit, Department of Political Science/School of Public Policy, University College, London UK. Funded by a grant from the Houston Chapter of ARMA International and the ARMA International Educational Foundation.

*RIM Checklist for Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Closures-A Study by John T. Phillips, CRM, FAI. Project underwritten by the Twin Cities Chapter of ARMA International.

*Access Rights to Business Data on Personally-Owned Computers-A Study by John C. Montaņa, J.D. for The ARMA International Educational Foundation funded by a grant from the Houston and Calgary Chapters of ARMA International.

*Identifying and Classifying E-Messages as Records-A Study by Jesse Wilkins, CDIA for The ARMA International Educational Foundation. Research conducted and donated to the profession by Mr. Wilkins.
