Basically, our records fall into two categories, firm and client. Firm records are records generated in the operation of the firm as a business and are stored on-site. Client records can be stored off-site. If an attorney requests a record by 4pm it is on their desks by 10am the next day. This is the general procedure. With explanation, we allow rushes (2 hours plus travel time). Because of the nature of our business, law, we need next day turn around.

Subject: Pulling & Storing of Records

Question for the collective wisdom of the group...

Has anyone been in a circumstance where you were limited by your company
to only pulling boxes from offsite storage monthly, or quarterly,
instead of when the record was requested?

Thanks,
