From today's Oregonian:
>The Oregon attorney general says it will cost $80,000 to review 21,500
e-mails sought by Republican lawmakers over the resignation of Brent
Foster, former special counsel for the environment.

Just for context, Mr. Foster lost his job in the State Attorney
General's office over allegations that he had misrepresented how samples
had been collected in a case against a polluter in - I believe - Hood
River. The LNG terminal issue relates to the cancellation of an LNG
(liquid natural gas) terminal in Astoria, at the mouth of the Columbia
River. Mr. Foster, prior to his employment with the state, played a role
in that as well, as part of the Columbia Riverkeepers environmental
group.
I thought some of the comments were interesting in how they represent a
public understanding of email discovery issues.
