In regards to Larry's last point, one of the dirty secrets of conferences
the world 'round is that it is not uncommon for more revenue to come from
the vendor side than from attendees. Less vendors = more expensive either
for the remaining ones or for the attendees or both, which can produce a
vicious downward spiral for one or both. You can remedy this somewhat with
a smaller space, but there are still certain fixed costs which have to be
covered somehow. AIIM does this with a smaller vendor footprint in terms of
number and booth size. MER does this with higher costs for both vendors and
attendees. Either way you pays your money and you takes your chances.

Regards,

Jesse Wilkins, CIP, CRM, IGP (still the AIIM guy, disclosures, etc.)
