I'd tend to agree, having been the closing keynote at ARMA Canada and ARMA
Houston and at a few other events. :) But I think part of it also depends
on the nature of the keynote. I was at Conference long enough to go to the
keynote but frankly the topic held very little appeal and seemed to have
little connection to the conference. I compare it to some of the others in
recent years - Randy Kahn, Francis deSouza from then IMLogic, etc. and it
seems like the ones that were more directly relevant were better attended.
I wonder whether ARMA has any way to gauge conference vs. closing keynote
attendance and can draw any inferences from that. But again I hope and
expect that some ARMA folks are paying attention to these types of
discussions.
