Hi

I wrote about how Office 365 (which includes SharePoint Online, SharePoint
sites for Office 365 Groups, and OneDrive for Business in terms of
document/records management) challenges 'traditional' records management
theories, in my blog:
https://andrewwarland.wordpress.com/2016/09/27/how-office-365-challenges-traditional-records-management-practices/

I don't think Office 365 (or Google or Facebook) are going to go away any
time soon. Users have adopted these ways of working (as they have with
Uber, AirBNB etc) very quickly, as they will Office 365 - especially on
their mobile devices, at home, anywhere. Many are already probably using
OneDrive and have Office 365 home computer subscriptions.

Those of us in the RIM industry who work in organisations implementing
Office 365 need to understand this new way of working, and how we deal with
the digital artefacts created and in some cases tightly integrated through
out - for example, the Dynamics CRM system integrates directly with
SharePoint for document storage, Office 365 Groups have their own
SharePoint sites, PowerBI has O365 groups that in turn have SharePoint
sites.

As Satya Nadella said at Ignite last week, the future is in analytics that
can tell us what's there even if we're not looking for it (just like
Facebook wants to connect you with people you'd rather forget). Products
like Delve and MyAnalytics are part of this new world.
