What is required for offsite storage facility with regard to security of
Financial Institution/Insurance records? I can't find the regs
regarding the security of the storage facility.

Thanks,

Cynthia Hobson asked:

"Does anyone know what the security regulations are regarding offsite
records storage?"

Cynthia, you'll need to be more specific. What kind of security
regulations are you talking about? US Department of Defense security
regulations pertain to applicable records regardless of their location,
although there used to be (and still may be) specific DoD requirements
for off-site storage of these records (and I'm not even talking about
classified documents, which are governed by a separate set of
requirements). Then there are HIIPA regs dealing with medical records,
etc.

Off-site storage suppliers are not regulated, although many may choose
to conform to various standards.

Without more information about what your specific situation is, there
are too many possible directions in which to send you!
